Email Received from Green Dot and/or MoneyPak

I received the following email from Green Dot and/or MoneyPak today. Like, just wow. I have heard lately that Greendot has been on some “shit”, but really now? Well, I have removed all instances of anything about Green Dot and/or MoneyPak from my website. Hope I am in “compliance” now. Unbelievable.

Happy March! Booked thru April 1st….

I know I have been pretty quiet these days. It’s because I have been extremely busy working on design projects. The scope of the projects I have been working on have changed. It seems that I am getting hired for even bigger projects such as membership sites and such that can take me like 3 months or so to do. That is how big and complex some of the projects I am working on are. Also, I would say 75% of my clients are my loyal clients who consider me to be their exclusive designer. So they come to me on a consistent basis with all of their design needs and I of course take care of them as we have an established relationship. Some of my clients I have been their designer for years now. In addition to that, I am getting a plethora of design inquiries from even big companies who’s web design/development needs are pretty major as well. I am establishing relationships with these companies and adult web owners and working with them as well. Needless to say the demand I am getting as far as design projects far exceeds my supply. I would love to take care of everyone who contacts me. I just can’t though. I am a solo web designer so every project that comes my way, it is me and me alone that works on it. I do not have a team.

With that said, I apologize for emails that I have not yet been able to respond to. Sometimes I respond to emails within a couple of hours. Sometimes it takes me a couple of days. Sometimes, when I am super busy (like the last month and a half, it will take me 2 weeks or more to reply). I strongly suggest if you contact me but is looking for a quick turn around time regarding your project, contact other web designers as well. I will always reply as soon as possible but please just don’t just wait on me because even once I reply, based on my schedule I still may not be able to take on your project right away. I am just being totally honest.

Unless you have been my client for a long time and we have an established relationship, most of the web design projects from *new* clients I have committed myself to are those that are booked in advance and have a more lenient time frame and completion date. My long time clients know how I am and how I work. They are extremely comfortable with me and I am extremely comfortable with them. They are never on my back as far as their projects are concerned. It’s basically, “Tee, I need this, this and this done. I know you will get to it when you can”. Or they give me future deadlines and ask if I can get the project done by that time. And I do….. always. That is why I am able to take on their projects in between working on other ones. It’s never no pressure.

The days of me working under pressure is long gone. I am not going to be stressed. I am not going to overbook myself. Web design is my passion and it’s what I love to do. It doesn’t even feel like a job to me even though I get paid for it. I love it that much. And that is why the same way clients are picky when it comes to choosing an designer, as a designer I am picky when it comes to working with clients. I take every, single project I commit to seriously. I adore and love all of my clients and I always work above and beyond for them. In turn, they treat me great as well and is always so understanding and patient with me. No matter what, the end results of their project(s) (whether they waited a few days, a week, a month or even a bit longer) is always spectacular and far exceeds what they expected. That is how I do for my clients. Nothing but the best for them.

So with that said, I am only going to be taking on a limited amount of projects per month from *new* clients. My exclusive clients will pretty much get priority and I will establish relationships with *new* clients as my schedule allows. I will admit that I have established quite a few super duper wonderful relationships with *new* clients over the past few months. And I already see that we will be working together for a long time to come. I am very appreciative and is very blessed.

Also, another thing I would like to mention is that a lot of my projects are paid in advance or at least a deposit is paid in advance. I do not officially commit to any project without payment or a deposit (depending on the type of project) unless you are an established, long time client of mine. I will give you tentative dates based on my current schedule, but please don’t expect to come to me on that tentative date I gave you then ready to get started. Because by that time, another client could have already made payment on their project or given me a deposit and I officially committed to them. This is just about business. First come, first serve. I already have clients who paid me back in January and February for upcoming projects due to start this month March. I am getting emails from *potential* clients for projects they would like completed by June but they are contacting me now so that I can fit them in. I appreciate clients that are not in a rush and that can wait a reasonable amount of time. I need time to get projects done as I am working with a lot of clients and stay very busy. So please just keep this kinda stuff in mind before deciding if you want to deal with me.

I am now booked thru April 1st. I am wrapping up projects now and about to get started on March projects. If you are interested in possibly hiring me, please feel free to still contact me and we can discuss your project. In all likeliness however, the earliest start date will be April 1st. And again, I ONLY commit to projects when payment is made or a deposit is given BEFORE the start of the project unless you are a long time client. I can’t afford to turn down other clients because I committed to an unpaid project. There have been a lot of instances where certain unpaid projects that I committed myself to and turned other projects down for, have been delayed for a number or reasons due to the client’s situation and the project just never happened. Believe me, I know life can get crazy and shit happens.. I certainly understand that. But that is why I always just like to be sure that a client will be ready to proceed with their project at a date we agree on. And payment upfront or a deposit given ensures that.

I so adore all of my past and current clients and any *new* potential ones. It’s very true that when a designer/client works together, they must be a good fit. And that is what I look for when committing to projects and clients and I would hope that my clients look for the same when choosing me. ;-) It starts off as business, but I know first hand how it can become personal because a great majority of my clients have now turned into my actual friends that I love and adore oh so much! ;-) <3

Oh and.. I have a shitload (excuse my French *LMAO*) of design inquiries that I need to reply to. Inquiries that have been sitting in my inbox since early February. o_O I will be replying to each and every one of them over the next few days. By the weekend I will have replied to every last one of them. Thank you so much for your continued patience and understanding! *muah*
